Good full red. Sweeter on the nose than the Arborina, offering scents of brown spices and flowers. Chewier and deeper in the mouth but still quite backward, with enticing spices and dried flowers currently dominating underlying red fruits. The tactile tannins coat the front teeth on the long, classy aftertaste. A great performance for a La Morra Barolo in 2009.
